Dog Food Sales (Bravo! and By-Nature) Print this Page E-mail This Page to a Friend

We made the decision years ago that we would not sell dog food. When we recommend that a student or behavior client consider changing their dog's diet, we want to do so without even the perception of a conflict of interest. If we don't sell dog food, there's can't be any conflict of interest, and our clients recognize that we have their dog's best interest in mind.

About a year ago we began carrying two types of dog food: Bravo! Raw Dietand By-Nature by Blue Seal, a dry dog food. Here's why we decided to do so:

Bravo! - We decided to sell Bravo because many of our instructors and clients were feeding it and asked if we could become a distributor to make their purchases more convenient. While the decision to do so was an internal one - selling to our staff and very few clients - as word spread, especially following the huge dog food recall of 2007, more and more clients were asking us about feeding "real" food. What started as a small venture to meet the needs of a few, has grown and continues to grow.

By-Nature - We started retailing By-Nature when we switched to this diet for our Boarding guests. At the time we switched over, there were few retail stores near us that carried By-Nature, so we decided to stock it as a convenience for our clients. Many of our clients choose to feed their dogs the same diet as we feed in our kennel. By doing so, their dogs' diet doesn't change when they stay with us, and they don't have to package their dogs' meals for them when they leave them with us.

Please don't think, just because we're now selling two kinds of dog food, that we believe these are the only way to feed your dog, or even necessarily the best diet for your individual dog. There are many other good foods on the market, and we're happy to discuss with you your choices. We don't even care if you want to buy Bravo! or By-Nature somewhere else. Honest. We just want what's best for your dog.

For more information and recommendations on selecting a diet for your dog, see Diet & Feeding. If you are interested in learning more about either of the foods we sell, please check their websites. See below for information on the specific types of Bravo we stock and pricing.

Bravo Prices

We regularly stock four blends of Bravo, in 2, 5 and 10 pound tubes. The prices below are per tube, so, for example, a 10 pound tube of Chicken Blend is $1.66 per pound, while 5 pounds is $1.86 per pound and 2 pounds is $2.08 per pound. While this is what we generally have on-hand, we are happy to accept special orders for any of the other products available from Bravo! We strive to meet the needs and desires of our clients, so if we find that there is a demand for another popular product, we will stock it regularly. For information on placing a special order, contact us.
